Ring Size Guide

Know what size ring you need before you shop so you can buy perfectly-fitting jewellery every time. To determine ring size, you can place a ring that fits you on a professional ring sizer mandrel, use a professional ring sizer, or find an approximate fit with a ring size t or finger size strip shown below. Make sure to measure your finger at room temperature. Heat and cold can cause your fingers to swell or constrict.

1. Wrap a piece of string or paper string around the base of your finger.
2. Mark the string or paper where it overlaps to form a complete circle.
3. Measure the length of the section of string or paper where it overlaps around the finger.
4. Compare your measurement with this t to determine your ring size.

Dont know her size?
Being surprised with a Diamond Engagement Ring is a magical moment that will never be forgotten. And with a little planning, the event can happen brilliantly.
Below, you’ll find some very easy solutions to getting her ring size while keeping your gift a surprise. Keep in mind that a woman’s ring size will vary for each finger, so the below suggestions are meant only as a directional tool for you.

Make an Impression
If she’s in the habit of leaving any of her rings lying about, make an impression of one. A bar of soap, a piece of clay or even a piece of bread can be used to take a reliable measurement.

Put it in Writing
You could even trace the inside of the ring on a piece of paper which the jeweler can then use to determine an accurate measurement.

Try it on for Size
Simpler still, just put one of her rings on your own fingers. Push it down as far as it will go and then mark the spot with a pen. Then just show the marking to your jeweler who can measure it for you.

What are Friends For
A friend of the soon-to-be bride’s can be of great assistance in this particular endeavor. It’s not uncommon for one friend to ask another for their ring size as a matter of curiosity. Just be sure you choose a friend who can keep a secret.

  • How to find your ring size
  1. Wrap a piece of string or a strip of paper around the base of your ring finger. Make sure you can slip it comfortably over your knuckle. You'll get the most accurate reading if your hands are warm, not cold.
  2. Mark the point at which the string or paper meets itself.
  3. Use a ruler to measure the length of the string/paper from its tip to the mark you made. This is your finger's measurement.
  4. Using the t above, match the measurement to your ring size.
